This all we’re being told at the moment, but what do you reckon it might be? It’s been suggested that there might be a 4 door concept on the way, but to me it has a whiff of Superlegerra about it. Just how much tonk would an LP 640 SL have? 680bhp? Gentlemen, let the speculation begin….

Usually I don’t dare to speculate but I don’t think Lambo is on for a four door car. Superfast saloons (aston rapide, maseratti and so) tend to be on the soft side as they should also be confortable while looking classic. I believe that Lambo’s image is about being positively insane. A four door, practical, rear seated lambo looks well in the past. I’d rather see a crossover mad-coupe from Lamborghini ;)

Most likely a Superleggera model, probably Murcielago. I say this because there has been absolutely no mention of a completely new model, usually there be a sketch or whatever shown first. If it is a Murcie SL, no doubt it will be a belter, easily the most exciting thing launched this year.

Murcielago SV I would think. Probably more power and less weight, but I expect it will keep the 4wd.

Doesn’t look wide enough to be a Murcielago variant, so I’m going to guess at a new Superleggera version of the Gallardo.

I’d like to say that it would be rear wheel drive, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

None of you are going to believe this, but I’ve just spoken to someone in-the-know and they have confirmed that this thing is going to have four doors. So I can’t say it’s official, but the source of this information isn’t usually wrong. I’m completely baffled TBH -almost hope he has got it wrong because I wouldn’t know what to make of a Lambo saloon. Or an SUV. But, he insists it has four doors.

I’ve always thought the Espada was a fabulous thing but I doubt anything built today would make quite such an impact. Should have guessed it was something odd, as that glass panel looks vertical, like the boot section of the original Espada or Marzal.
Chris, is it a production car or a concept, like that Miura thing they did (and subsequently canned soon after)?

I hope your wrong Chris, 4 door Lambo just doesn’t seem ‘right’ to me. It seems pretty unlikely to me that something like this could be kept totally under wraps until its show debut, the motoring press (usually!) are just too hot at sniffing out a story….

I hope its a Murcie SV, but then it also seems unlikely Lambo would ‘build up’ a model we all expect sooner or later with tantalizing press releases weeks ahead of unveiling.

So, I have no idea what its going to be but if I had to guess I’d go for a completely new model in the GT mould – a modern day Espada if you like. Something in the DB9/612/Conti GT market makes sense from a business POV, and there is some heritage.
