  • DR's Christmas Special – Long-termer shootout at Curborough Sprint Track

DR’s long term test fleet head to Curborough, the toughest sprint track in the civilised world (well, near Lichfield) for an end of year party that not even Hugh Heffner could match.

Have a look at the video and then let’s hear your comments (about anything except Chris’ fashion sense)

The video is available to watch now and the feature will be online in the next few days.

Great video, gents. All the ST needs is a slippy-dif, some trick suspension and a few more horses… bet Richard can’t wait!

Right then, I’m going to have a go at that in my RS4 when I can get a spare moment and see what I can get it around in, it’s only 10 minutes from my front door! Next time I’ll put the kettle on!

I haven’t seen the final feature magazine yet (we’re still waiting for it to arrive from our publisher in the US), but amongst the photos from the day I noticed one of me in the X6 taking to the greenstuff..

Perhaps if I’d tried even harder then I might have ended up in your back garden ;)

I’ve just run with chris’s idea- hope you don’t mind, and registered a new domain name. I think it should be quite profitable… http://www.dickierise.com

Excellent! The sideways action in the ST was as hilarious as the two boys schoolgirl giggles made it sound, and the M3 looked great fun sideways. Using the whole track was a great idea in the X6, although the final flourish (of understeer) was appallingly funny.

Can’t wait to read the feature.

PS: Wearing your son’s cap on TV isn’t the best idea Chris!

What’s with the ridiculous cap Monkey? I hadn’t taken you for the Burberry wearing type and it would help if it fitted rather than have it perch on top of your swede!!
Great vid though chaps – perhaps attending next years arse about could b a competition prize?!
    Happy Christmas

I like the new look Monkey, but I think you’ve left your banjo in the back of my car.

It’s merely the NASCAR-mechanic look: apparently it’ll be big in ’09.

Absolutely hilarious, I was laughing a long at Richard’s antics in the Focus…and probably more so Chris’ reaction to them!
