We are really looking forward to the Porsche Carrera Cup, more so this year because of our role as Media Partner to the UK championship. Our coverage of the season will include reader competitions with regular ticket give-aways, and Chris Harris will compete on behalf of DR in a race during the season. The VIP car will be carrying DR logos, so look out for this during the races.
As a prelude to the first race at Brands Hatch on 3rd – 5th April, we have filmed an introduction to the season with Chris sampling the new 2009 car at Silverstone.

March 20, 2009Very impressive – it’s great to see what happens when you put a GT3 on a motorsport diet and drop in a sequential gearbox and some short ratio cogs!
Also, that GT3 Cup car at full chat must be one of the best sounds in motorsport…

March 20, 2009Dare I say it this video doesn’t quite have the re-watch-ability of Chris’ first GT3 Cup video I found on YouTube. It would have been nice to have been talked round a lap in the same way that Chris talked around Snetterton.
That said it’s a very good quality and it’s great to find out more about the championship. DR seem to be building great links with various championships/circuits/etc. all very exciting! It’s going to make for a lot more great content.
Time is always tight so perhaps in future we’ll get some more in car footage to drool over?
