I wanna say IS-F because I know the exhaust isnt actually connected to the “Quad” tailpipes. However the sound isnt right, its definatly a diesel which would totally obliterate the IS-F because the only japanese car manufacturer going diesel is mazda.

Given the fact that the exhaust is apparently disconnected from the exhaust tip, I’m going to guess Lexus IS-F without even listening to the audio…

Another guess for diesel. The first thing that popped into mind was the Q7 V12 TDI, but that has already been suggested…

It isn’t the IS-F… it is in fact the Audi Q7 V12 TDI. So well done Sergio and Sprintevo. It sounds incredibly refined from the outside, a bit more thrummy on the inside, but doesn’t half pick up 2600kgs and throw it along the road!

It is mighty… but then so are the ML63, Cayenne Turbo and X6 xDrive50i currently at DR HQ. We aren’t going to be exactly saving the planet in the next day or two. Nor winning many friends judging by the reaction to these cars fro other road users! Even the diesel is only doing 20mpg…

A cayenne turbo would do 10 mpg so I’m guessing 20 mpg is not bad for a car and an engine like that and it must be such a good one.

How the hell do you get 20mpg from that monster? I had Q7 4.2 TDI as a loaner for 2 weeks and only managed an average of 22mpg out of it!! You boys need to try a little harder ;-)

The Q7 did 20.0mpg on a trip down the A34 and M4 to Porsche GB. And Monkey says it did 23.3mpg on the way up to Cadwell this morning. I suspect it may dip down a bit this afternoon.
