Like the summit of Pikes Peak – enough to make you nauseous,
I’m an ace of bass like Jaco Pastorius,
This is just a taste of why they call me Notorious…

Out of Stowe and getting a lick on,
It’s Maranello’s finest bullied by Jethro Bovingdon,
He knows no fear, shows total commitment,
And with the Hangar straight over, heel-and-toeing’s imminent,
Drop a cog, maybe two or three,
Man, he can handle this recalcitrant Ferrari,
Breaking traction the homie shows bottle,
He loves writing features and talking about ‘throttaal’ –
Response, ensconced in a world of horsepower,
Auto Express, Car take note and cower,
You guys are David Tennant, DR’s Jack Bauer,
And they’re rainmasters in thunderstorms and heavy showers,
Making a widowmaker seem like your Yaris,
It’s snap-oversteer perfectly balanced by Chris Harris,
He launched himself on camera, didn’t shy away,
And can grow a Grizzly Adams beard in the space of a day,
Hunting you down with his family Scaglietti,
A writer as technical as Magneti Marelli,
Front-end grip, downforce and the detail,
Always clips the apex and kicks out the tail,
As journalists go he’s one of the cats,
Though does have a penchant for questionable caps,
No matter he’s got the talent of Jochen Mass,
Particularly when he hammers out Silverstone laps,
A man so fast he’ll leave your internal organs bleeding,
The diminutive speedster goes by the name ‘Dickie’ Meaden,
A hillclimb veteran and 24hr maestro,
His car-control’s legendary, watch the SV Lambo,
The first choice for many works factory teams,
He approaches corners with a Jean Alesi head lean,
Writing that puts you right in the driver’s seat,
Watch out when his Pirellis are at optimum heat,
Author, founder of evo and premier hack,
As talent goes the man’s stacked,
Forget other magazines they’re starting to crack,
They should stop the press and start to pack.
