Video: 2010 Porsche GT3 RS Autobahn shakedown

Manager of High Performance Cars for Porsche, Andreas Preuninger, provides the opportunity to ride shotgun as he took the first produced 2010 Porsche GT3 RS out for a ride on the Autobahn yesterday evening. Due to traffic, he was only able to get the car up to 292kph on the unrestricted A5 Autobahn.

The second half of the video, Andreas tells us what went into the development process for the new GT3 RS and what the car is capable of doing with the new technology and performance upgrades from the previous generation

I can’t make up my mind whether I like or dislike the grey. It is obviously non-metallic but in certain photos it reminds me of primer and in others (chances are where the detailers have polished to within an inch of it’s life and the Photoshop-elves have worked their magic) it looks quite good.

It is a shame Porsche didn’t whip out some more 70′s colours – Gulf Blue for a start!

aaa gulf blue! that would have been a very nice touch with orange wheels?

i’m still not a fan of the red lettering, looks very chavy to me..

listening to that video though, the car sounds glorious!
