1500 bhp Lamborghini Gallardo wrestles a dyno

This car could re-open the debate as to whether its possible to have too much power in a road car. Built by tuning company Underground Racing they’ve taken a standard Lamborghini Gallardo, strapped on a pair of turbochargers and then lit the touch paper.

Watch the video closely and pay attention to when the boost spikes, I’m not sure whether to feel sympathy for the rolling road or the Gallardo’s transmission, but I was expecting to see something go bang..

As much as showing this much HP in any car is pretty pointless then why do I like it! Nothing beats sheer excess (unless it is super-light weight) :-)

Our Story

Starting with Drivers Republic in 2007, followed by SkiddMark two years later, our goal has always been to support content makers and automotive brands as they transform towards an all-digital future. We do this through enabling aspiring writers, curating great content and disrupting conventional brand marketing to filter out the noise and encourage investment in areas that will benefit those who are passionate about driving.
