Yesterday we brought you details and images of the new 2010 3-series Coupe and Convertible, and we now have a few images of the M Sport design that will form more than 60% of orders here in the UK.
The front and rear spoilers, along with the side skirts can be ordered separately as an M aerodynamics package on regular coupes and convertibles, but the full M Sport package requires a factory order and offers three different light-alloy wheels in 18 and 19 inches plus upgraded M sport suspension, BMW Individual High Gloss Shadowline, an M leather steering wheel, aluminium interior trim, anthracite roof lining, and sports seats in a cloth/alcantara combination.

January 20, 2010Good question Mike. LCI stands for Life Cycle Impulse (LCI, which is BMW-tech-speak for ‘mid-life update’.
No pictures on the 335is yet, but the basic spec details are attached below..

January 20, 2010That’s not bad. I wasn’t expecting it to look much different to the regular 335i, but there are enough subtle changes to make it seem worthwhile. Now all we need to know is how much of a premium BMW will be charging for it.
Bear in mind (as per Tony’s article yesterday) that the 335i has now boosted by a single-turbo, whereas this 335is will deploy twin turbochargers, as per the current 335i…

I’m not sure where they’re going with the N54 twin-turbo vs the new N55 twin-scroll single turbo. Any insight on the new engine and why they’re keeping the old one?
So, what is the order of high-performance 3′s now? 335i → 335i w/Sport Package → 335i M-Sport → 335is → M3 → M3 GTS?

January 20, 2010That’s about it (for the time being), although I hear that a high-performance diesel will arrive for the X5/X6 models with the name Xdrive45d… Monumental torque, around 350bhp and the same aluminium 3 litre diesel engine at its base.
Fit that to the new 3-series Coupe, which can now optioned with Xdrive and you’d have something as quick as the M3.
You heard it here first…
