Brabus Vanish SL65 AMG Black Series addresses ‘underpowered’ standard car

The standard SL65 AMG Black Series is not powerful enough. Don’t agree? Well how could a mere 660 bhp be sufficient for a modern day supercar when sports saloons now commonly wield well over 500 bhp. At least that’s what one Mercedes customer thought, so he asked German tuning house Brabus to help him out of his predicament.

The Brabus Vanish is a one-off vehicle made by the German tuner for a Dubai customer, based on his Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series. The name ‘Vanish’ was chosen by the customer himself and features larger turbos, plus a modified sports exhaust system that increases the total output to around 790 bhp.

The base car was originally painted in a pearl white finish, but to match its new Vanish name the owner has now chosen to clothe it in a stealthy matt black body wrap.

The SL65 AMG Black Series’ interior trim has been re-stitched with red highlights, liberally decorated with Brabus logos, whilst ‘Vanish’ logos adorn the brake callipers and side sills.

Nice, but perhaps the last thing the SL65 AMG Black Series really needed was ‘more’ power.

Utterly ridiculous, but I’d love to have one.  8-)
