Design Competition: See your Citroen DS3 produced for the road

Ever fancied your hand at car design but didn’t have the spare billions to stump up production and distribution facilities?  Well fear not, because Citroen’s now giving you the chance to design their DS3 – well, the roof and dashboard at least – and have it produced on DS3s next year.

The winning design will be chosen by a panel of representatives from GQ, the Cartier Foundation and Louis Vitton, so all in all people who know a thing or two about fashionable design.  The lucky winner will receive a cash prize and more excitingly, will see their design put into production as part of a special DS3 collection in 2011.  The winning entry will also be shown off at the opening of the Paris Motorshow in October 2010, so the winner is destined to enjoy an excellent degree of exposure.

Check out what the judges are after in this short clip and then head over to the competition’s website here to put forward your entry.

What would your DS3 roof look like?

We think this is a great initiative from Citroen, mainly because they’re actually going to produce cars with the winning roof and dashboard design, so it’s an excellent opportunity for any budding creative designers out there to make a name for themselves.

If you do enter, be sure to share your designs with us on SkiddMark so we can promote your work in a gallery of talented entries.
