As next month’s Geneva Motor Show approaches, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has revealed the 3rd teaser of its new Wraith – the most powerful car they’ve ever built.
And the theme is both contemporary and nautical, with a shot of the front door – inspired by the interior of an ultra-luxury yacht. In fact, the horseshoe sweep of the Wraith’s cabin echoes the cove at Le Canadel in the South of France where Sir Henry Royce and his design team spent their winters.
However, just in case we’re lulled into a false sense of comfort, they’ve accompanied the picture of open pore wood and soft ‘Phantom-grade’ leather with that of the clock, which with its Blood Orange needle tips point to the car’s dynamic potential (i.e. Hot). There’s also a hint of the marque’s aviation heritage about its design.
This all looks very appealing, but after promising ‘extraordinary power’ we’re becoming a little impatient. Bring on the spec sheet, and don’t spare the horses..
