4 cars which are way ahead of Alfa’s 4C (w/VIDEO)

The Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition made its début at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, featuring the same 237bhp 1,750cc turbocharged petrol engine as the standard car, but with a few extra tricks – most notably its special matte-finish Carrara White paintwork (also available in Alfa Red) and contrasting carbon aerodynamic kit.

To encourage Alfisti to part with one-million dollars € 60,000, they made a fascination film (see above) set in the American west. Accompanied by country music.

If you’re scratching your head wondering why they produced an American themed promo, the 4C marks Alfa’s return to the US market since it shut up shop in 1995. Even so, it’s a strange move considering Alfa is probably best known in the US as the car Dustin Hoffman drove in the 1967 classic film, The Graduate.

In a juxtaposed scene towards the end of the film, the 4C drives past a display of four past Alfa Romeo classics including the 1968 33 Stradale, 1967 Spider “Duetto” (from The Graduate), a 1963 Giulia TZ and 1960 Giulietta SZ Sprint Zagato.
