I’ve been meaning to bring this to your attention for a while now, not that it’s a major piece of news but it is certainly interesting for those of us who enjoy discovering new tracks.
In less than 48 hours from now we’ll be sitting in a production 1 Series M Coupé, getting to know it’s unique features and learning just how special M Division’s new entry-level model really is. Despite initial reservations when the M Coupé was first revealed, I’m really looking forward to seeing and touching it for myself.
BMW’s 1 Series M Coupé is one of the most eagerly anticipated cars to arrive from BMW in the past decade, with the E92 M3 now sporting a 414-bhp V8 and costing well above £50,000 it hardly fits the role of “BMW’s entry level M car” any more. What was needed was a more affordable model, harking back to the very first E30 M3 and providing access to the M-power ladder from a more affordable and approachable package.
