He reached a breathtaking 205.48 mph (330.695 km/h) in the Conti Supersports, breaking his own 2007 record of 199.83 mph (321.6 km/h) set in a Continental GT coupe at the same location.

As we continue to wait for the official press launch, more pictures leak out showing Lamborghini’s new V12-powered Aventador LP700-4. Geneva Watch: De Tomaso SLS – the Italian for BMW 5 GT

When you hear that Italian car maker De Tomaso is back after a 7 year absence, you’d be forgiven for getting excited by the prospect – after all this is the same marque that gave us the Pantera GTS, a direct competitor in its time to Lamborghini’s Countach. Geneva Watch: Lamborghini’s ‘lightweight’ Aventador LP700-4

It’s actually quite a refreshing change to see Lamborghini revealing its new V12 super sports car from the inside-out. If you think back to previous Lamborghini launches the focus has been firmly on the glitz, glamour and sheer celebrity of the car, which can be a frustrating experience for an enthusiast when all you’d like to see is someone crack open the throttle and silence all the polite conversation.
