Kia provides a sneak-peek of its new pro_cee’d GT

This is the ‘hot-hatch’ version of Kia’s redesigned pro_cee’d, due for launch in the second half of 2013, although the term ‘hot’ might just be a little ambitious for a model powered by a 200bhp 1.6-litre direct-injection turbo engine and offered with either a six-speed manual or double-clutch transmission.

Volkswagen reveals the Scirocco GTS at Leipzig

The Auto Mobil International show in Leipzig, Germany, which opens its doors on 2 June, will see the first appearance of the new Scirocco GTS, together with other new models including the Volkswagen CC R Line, Beetle Fender and CrossPolo ‘Urban White’.

VW celebrates an icon with the New Golf GTI Edition 35

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the original hot hatch, Volkswagen has announced the first details of the latest special edition Golf GTI model – the Golf GTI Edition 35. With an increase in power of 25 bhp over the ‘standard’ car, the Edition 35 develops 232 bhp and is the most powerful production Golf GTI to date.

Volkswagen puts the Bug back into the Beetle

The original Volkswagen Beetle built between 1938 and 2003, became the longest-running and most-produced vehicle in the history of the car, with over 21 million units sold in its 65-year lifespan. It was developed by Ferdinand Porsche under instruction from Der Führer himself, Adolf Hitler, as the Type 1 Volkswagen – which literally means “people’s car” in German.

Lexus announces UK prices for new hybrid CT 200h

Lexus have revealed the UK pricing and specifications of the new CT 200h, its fully-hybrid powered entry into the UK’s small luxury car market. The entry level CT 200h SE-I is being positioned head-to-head with BMW’s 118d SE and Audi’s A3 2.0 TDI SE with prices starting at £23,485 climbing to £30,635 for the CT 200h SE-L Premier.
