The V12 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 made its Asian debut this morning on Lamborghini’s stand at the Auto Shanghai 2011. The event also marked the launch of the Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore at a special off-site event held in the Shanghai Expo. The LP 550-2 Tricolore was developed to pay homage to Italy, but this was the first time it had been shown in China.
It looks like the Aventador LP700-4 is not only ‘fast’ in terms of its performance – 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds – but also in how quickly Lamborghini are able to sell them. In less than a month since being launched at the Geneva Motor Show, the first year’s allocation has already sold out and you’ll already be looking towards 2013 for the next available production slot.
Once you’ve decided you want a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 – and you DO want one, the next step is deciding what colour and spec to choose. A range of 13 colors will be available at launch, in pastel metallic, pearlescent or matt finishes. These include the new shades Grigio Estoque and Arancio Argos.
It was bound to happen, despite the numerous images leaked during the past fortnight, and to ensure all eyes were on Lamborghini’s stand, the new Aventador LP700-4 was revealed last night at the VW Group pre-show party guaranteeing it the front-page position on Day 1 of the 81st Geneva Motorshow.

These most recent pictures provide a better view of a new Lamborghini colour, which we understand to be called Arancio Argos – and which in case you’re wondering is an orange rather than red hue.

It’s actually quite a refreshing change to see Lamborghini revealing its new V12 super sports car from the inside-out.
