If you’ve already taken a look through this month’s issue of ROAD Magazine (#17) then you’ll know that it’s devoted to Tim Schrick and the ‘Crazy English Edition’ of his TV show on Germany’s Sport 1 channel.
Tim Schrick is one of the nicest guys in motorsport. He also happens to be one of the best drivers we’ve had the pleasure of riding shotgun with. He has a natural talent and can jump in any car and extract its limits instantly. He’s also a lot of fun to be around.
So, we were over the moon when Tim gave us a call and asked us to line up some “crazy British cars” to feature on his new TV show, Turbo Automagazin, on Sport 1 in Germany
Nissan seem to be following in the foot-steps of their arch nemesis, Porsche, with a range of GT-R versions to mark the 2011 model year. Granted, there’s still a long way to go before they catch up with the 26 variants of 911, but if it works for ze Germans, then why not for Japan’s most revered sports car maker.
ROAD is all on track this issue. We’ve got a test of the £175,000 Lamborghini Gallardo LP-570-4 Superleggera at Snetterton. There’s the incredible Ariel Atom V8 launch. And, in the more affordable ‘real world,’ there’s the Mk6 Golf GTi, at Castle Combe circuit.
We also proudly announce our tie-in with the exciting Global Tuner GP event, in California, at Laguna Seca.
Welcome to the 4th weekly issue of ROAD – Nissan’s GT-R, Mitsubishi’s EVO FQ-400 and plenty of Rising Sun vibe.
