BMW remain tight-lipped about their latest collaboration with design house Zagato, following its Zagato Coupé which was shown at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza in May.
The new AC 378 GT Zagato, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, will get its UK preview at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 29 June-1 July.
The launch of Aston Martin’s range-topping DBS replacement, originally codenamed AM 310, seems to have become another in a long line of PR shambles, with the inevitable ‘leaked’ images making their way onto the interweb days before the official release.
After its appearance at last weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the AM310 concept car will be appearing at some of this year’s big summer events, including the Goodwood Festival Speed later this month.

Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is becoming a bit like Goodwood’s Festival of Speed, where it may have started out as a celebration of historic cars, it has now become a popular launch spot for several car makers to show their most beautiful pre-production ‘new’ models.
Following on from its inaugural showing at the famous Villa D’Este Concours in May and its successful campaign in the Nürburgring 24 Hour a month later, the production V12 Zagato is all set to appear at the forthcoming Frankfurt motor show.
“Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday” is the philosophy which underpinned the most iconic sporting marques such as Ferrari, Porsche and Lotus and it still applies today, with Aston Martin, who successfully completed the gruelling 39th ADAC Nürburgring 24 Hour race last month and has now announced a road-going version of the V12 Zagato race car.
This week Aston Martin is putting the final touches to its race preparations in readiness for the toughest 24 hour race of them all – the annual ADAC Nürburgring 24 Hours on 25 and 26 June where a brace of new Aston Martin V12 Zagatos will compete.

To mark the 50th anniversary year of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, Aston Martin has announced an exciting new collaboration with the renowned Italian design house Zagato – starting with a car to be shown for the first time at the famous Villa D’Este Concours on 21st May 2011, with a racing debut at Nürburgring later in the month.
