I like it although think the front end styling might make it a marmite car. With a torquey diesel may be a good car to downsize the TT for.

As a long term Alfa owner and enthusiast it is great to see a small car that truly deserves the badge – exactly the sort of this Alfa should be doing at the moment!
I agree with the concerns in the feature about the electronic systems corrupting the driving experience. However, I can see these systems being a novelty to many customers, atrracting a wide customer base. Bring on the GTA…

The problem with Alfa Romeo in UK is the dire dealer network which would need sorting before I’d consider buying another Alfa.

This is the car to tempt me to downsize – so much cooler than a MINI. My only fear is the dreaded question of reliability, as any faults would bring me stright into the clutches of the dealer network. So is my desire for this car greater than that fear? It will be when the GTA arrives!

The GTA is the last thing you need when it won’t let you unleash 140bhp on a corner without completely reprocessing your driving.
A supple, communicative chassis supported by decent, switchable ESP is surely all that’s required, especially if it really only weighs 1145kg?
In this respect I think it’s a big disappointment and a step in the wrong direction.

Come on guys – this isnt the sort of car that belongs here. The Mito is nothing more than a Punto in a party frock – we want power thrills and excitement, not Italian sh*tboxes

I’m looking forward for this model. Looks great on photos, hope its even better in the streets, its an alfa which is the kind of car you dont buy with your head in the usual place

A potentially lovely little car that appears spoiled by unintuitive, overcomplicated, nannying electronics. Who really thought that ‘Nudge back at you’ computer steering input would be a good idea?

Completely agree with Paul Cardosi. I enjoy driving and want a car to leave me in control, not to interfere because it is programmed to think it knows best.
